This Hofbauer crystal, footed bowl is from the Byrdes Ruby line. I estimate it as being circa 1980s since I found a publication on the Corning Museum of Glass for a 1980s Hofbauer trade catalog that mentions the Byrdes line.
The company's lead crystal was manufactured in West Germany/Bavaria in the mid to late 1900s.
The bowl measures 7.5" across at its widest (from flared, ornamental edge to flared, ornamental edge). Depth is 3" from bottom of dish to edge, not including the flared, ornamented edges. Outer height from feet to edge of dish is 3.5".
CONDITION: There are no chips, cracks or breaks; however, a collector of Hofbauer has recently informed me that this piece is missing the lid. She noted the ridge below the rim of the dish, which is there for the lid to sit upon.
