This antique herbarium is circa late 1800s, early 1900s and comprised of olive wood boards for the front and back covers. The front cover opens to the right as do all Hebrew books because Hebrew is read right to left.
The herbarium contains twelve pressed flower arrangements, each with a tissue paper protector except for one that is missing its tissue. The front page has a pressed flower between the page and the front cover.
The thick cardboard-like pages have the location from whence the flowers come written in French, English, Hebrew, and German.
Condition: The back cover is completely shaken from the book; it is no longer attached. The binding, as seen in the last photo, is damaged considerably. Please note the missing tissue on one of the pages as well as foxing on the pages and on the tissue. Please let me know if you would like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
Herbarium measures 6.25" x 4.25".
