Based on the closure (early safety pin type catch) and round hinge, I'm dating this French brooch, with an angel in the center and a filigree-like design on either side, to the 1930s. It is small, measuring 1.25" x .25" at its widest.
Please note, the metal has significant wear to the circular potion that depicts the angel and pitting/surface wear to the area surrounding the filigree-like portions on either side. This is visible only with a loupe or using the zoom function on the photos above. Please use the zoom function to examine the brooch closely, and let me know if you would like more photos.
