This pair of vis-à-vis ornaments from France may have been furniture ornamentation, but they can also be displayed on a wall or elsewhere. The two characters are accompanied by sprays of foliage. There are three holes in each ornament by which to anchor them.
The ornament with the gentleman in a pointed hat has two black smudges on the lower portion of a leaf.
I was told that these are bronze doré, but I believe these are brass with gold color applied.
The backs both have EM2023. The dimensions of both ornaments are approximately 9 cm x 9.5 cm.
