I've found references to the French jewelers, watchmakers, and goldsmiths Jeudon Fils (Jeudon Sons) of Le Mans from the 1940s and 1950s, and to err on the side of caution, I'm dating the box and clip as circa 1940s, based on the box and style of script. It could be earlier, but I do not think it is later.
*****Please read the description carefully for the condition of the tie clip and box.
The clip measures 2.5" in length and is comprised of a gold-colored metal (possibly plated but there are no hallmarks) and faux mother of pearl. The faux mother of pearl inset is missing the very end, and I do not know if this was intentional or if this piece was broken off. Please see the eighth photo to view this issue. Also, the metal does have pitting and scratches, and this is most evident in the ninth photo, but please also view the other photos showing the clip, and please use the zoom function.
The box appears to be leather or faux leather covered cardboard. The insert is lined with yellow, perhaps linen or silk, and faux fur. There is wear to the top, bottom, sides and edges of the box.
Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need additional ones of either the clip or box or both as I'll be happy to oblige.
