This antique, French, hunting dog brooch is of an unknown metal and is not marked with either a hallmark or maker's mark. It has a trombone closure so it has a production era between the mid-1800s and 1940. I am estimating it is circa early 1900s but I cannot give a definitive age.
The brooch measures approximately 1 ⅞" in length.
The closure works, but please note the pin portion bows a bit and the closure shows signs of wear. Do examine the photos and please let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
