*Please note this piece is being sold as is for repurposing or repair. It was once a brooch, but the clasp is broken and no longer holds the pin in place. I believe the clasp to have been trombone style. Also, please be aware that there is wear to the enamel and to the unadorned metal around the edges and back, too. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you would like more as I'll be happy to oblige.
Copper and champlevé enameled piece (formerly a brooch), from France, with floral design of roses and leaves. If I had to venture a guess as to age, I would say late 1800s, early 1900s. Dimensions are 1 ¾" x 1 ⅜". Box is included and contained the piece when purchased; however, I am not certain it is original to the piece. Even though the box closes, the piece fits in what I imagine is the lid but is too large for the bottom portion.
