Mini, French, Our Lady of Lourdes Prayer Book Pendant with Centennial Prayer Written by Pope Pius XII

This French, Our Lady of Lourdes, mini, prayer book pendant is from 1958 and contains a centennial prayer (in French) written by Pope Pius XII. The metal and paper mini book measures 1" x ¾" (excluding the bale by which to hang the pendant) and features the Virgin on the front and Lourdes Cathedral on the reverse.

Pope Pius XII is a significant historical figure as he saved hundreds of thousands of lives (many Jewish) during WWII. Also, several important teachings are attributed to him, among them: evolution, medical theology, capital punishment, and democracy and monarchy.

*****Condition: There is wear to the metal on the front and reverse in the form of scratches and discoloration. The paper pages are in very good condition. The hinges are in working order. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
