This circa mid to late 1800s metal, tabletop picture frame is from the third Napoleonic era in the style of Louis XVI. It measures 3" x 2.25" with a 1.5" opening. There is no glass or protective covering.
The back has marks reading "France," "Galb-Email," and "No. 32." There is another illegible word preceding "France." It almost looks like it could be "Made in" and this would mean the frame was manufactured for export.
Please note there is considerable rubbing and wear to the metal of the frame. Please examine the photos closely and let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
Thank you for looking.
