This 9.5 mm reel of "A Night in the Show" or "Le Spectacle est Dans la Salle" was manufactured by Pathé in 1915.

In 1894, Charles Pathé opened his first shop in Paris, dedicated to phonograph sales. In 1896, Charles and Émile Pathé opened Pathé Frères, a shop specializing in the sale of phonographs and film equipment. See https://pathe.com/en/pathe/ for more information on the intervening years. In 1922, Pathé-Baby was formed, dedicated to the idea of "cinema at home." Pathé is still operating today.

In "Night in the Show," Chaplin plays Mr. Rowdy and Mr. Pest, creating mayhem at a performance.

Run time is 24 minutes for this silent film. French intertitles.

The film is celluloid and has the characteristic odor.

*****Condition: I've not unspooled the entire reel nor do I have a projector to run it. In the yards I've unspooled, I observed a couple of areas that were taped, probably owing to breakage.
