Louis XVI Style, Brass and Beveled Glass, French, Tabletop Frame, 19th Century with Antique Photograph of Child

This antique, tabletop frame from France (with antique photograph of child included in the sale) is comprised of brass and beveled glass. It is in Louis XVI style and is from the 19th century.

The glass measures 4.25" x 2.5". The height of the displayed frame is 4 ¾". The metal ornamentation at the top has B Bte SGDG and Paris imprinted along the lower edge, as seen in the fourth photo. This stands for breveté sans garantie du gouvernement, which means patented without a government guarantee.

*****Condition: Please note there is a sizable chip measuring approximately ½"on a corner edge. Another edge has an approximately ¼" chip, and a third edge has an approximately ⅛" chip. Finally, there is a small chip, perhaps 1/16" along an edge closest to the corner with the largest chip. Please also note that the metal portion overall has discoloration and some rust.
