This antique, metal, figural match striker/holder (pyrogène) from France is circa late 1800s, early 1900s. It is of a lumberjack with an axe and measures 10 cm x 7 cm and 9 cm in height. Matches or even cigarettes can be placed in the cup.
Please note there is wear with some loss to the metal, especially around the holder's edges. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you would like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
