This antique Felix Potin tin is circa early 1900s and once held biscuits or cookies from their Polo line. More specifically, these cookies were called, in French, gaufrettes fourrées au praline, which are praline stuffed wafers.
The tin measures 6" x 3.75" with a depth of 1.5".
*****Condition: Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige. The tin has overall wear to the lithography, and the metal has damage, particularly on the corners and on the lid of the tin. The sides also have some dents/depressions. The edges of the tin (viewed without the lid) and the edges of the tin's lid are misshapen to a certain degree. This is wear commensurate with use. The underside is gold metallic with numerous scratches, but there is no lithograph. The interior of the tin is darkened metal, probably owing to oxidation. Again, please let me know if you would like more photos as I'll be happy to send them.
