This vintage (circa 1930s) Bakelite chocolate mold is from France. It has no maker's mark but bears the number 315 on the underside of the mold. The design is cherries, and the mold is a chocolate brown with considerable wear on the surface, underside, and sides. The edges exhibit some loss, as evidenced in the photos.
*****Condition: As aforementioned, the mold has considerable wear to the surface, undersides, and sides as well as edge wear as seen in the photos. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
*****Please note that this is unsafe to use for foodstuffs and should only be used for display or to create items that WILL NOT be consumed or applied to the skin. This is because heating Bakelite can produce unhealthy fumes as well as leach into the food. I also would not use this for soap molds because of the leaching risk.
The mold measures 6.5" x 4" x 1".
