This kugelhof (kugelhopf) mold is from the Alsace region of France. It measures almost 4 ¾" across and is approximately 2 ⅛" deep (measuring the mold portion and not the lip, which measures ¾".) This is a newer mold (as opposed to antique or even vintage) since it is glazed so decoratively on the exterior in green as well as shades of cream and red. There is a hole by which to hang the mold for display.
Please note the shine of the ceramic kugelhopf is evident in the reflection in the outer surface. These are not areas of damage or imperfections and are green when viewed in person.
*****Please examine the last two photos. The ninth photo shows a small raised white bump. This appears to be glazed so it is an imperfection in the clay body and not a chip. The tenth photo shows a divot that I believe happened before the first bisque firing when a nail or tool accidentally nicked the soft clay. I believe this to be the case since it is also glazed over. Finally, there is some crazing to the interior. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
