This Agnus Dei scapular reliquary is from Belgium. I believe the backing is balsa wood that has been decoratively burned on the front and reverse with perhaps gold paint embellishing the border on the front.
A chromolithograph is affixed to fabric, and ornamental braiding that extends to a loop at the top of the scapular graces the front of the piece. The reverse has more decorative burning as well as the relic (a small bit of wax from the previous year's Easter candles) behind plastic and a piece of paper with "Agnus Dei."
*****Condition: There is some buckling and discoloration to the reverse, possibly from water, but I cannot be certain.
The piece measures 3 ¼" x 2 ¼", not including the loop.
