Vintage, Yellow and White Striped, Cotton, Kitchen Towel from Goulet Turpin of Reims

$20.00

This vintage, yellow and white (circa 1950s) striped cotton kitchen towel is from Goulet Turpin of Reims. Modeste Goulet and Eugénie Turpin opened the first supermarket of France in 1958. In the 1970s, the company was bought by Euromarche and Promodes.

The towel measures 70 cm x 51 cm and is in very good condition. Also, there is a loop by which to hang the towel. The name "Goulet" is stitched along an edge of the towel.

*****Condition: While I do believe this towel to be new old stock, please examine the last photo for two areas that look to be climatic stains. Also, red thread was used on areas of the towel's edges, and this thread is visible in some areas. Please examine the photos closely and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.

Thank you for looking.
