This vintage metal egg crate has the four dozen egg holder inserts intact with a piece of cardboard dividing each two dozen. Tissue paper, used to protect the top and bottom of the eggs in shipment, is still present. The closure is a sliding metal pin that still works but does not slide smoothly.
The stamps "Four Doz Eggs," "Original" and "Fragile" appear on the sides of the crate.
Dimensions are 9 x 13 x 6. Crate has some dings and dents as well as a patina. Do let me know if you'd like more photographs.
