Antique Slide Viewer and Glass Slides

This antique slide viewer is 2 ½" in height and 1 ⅝" across its base. The box accompanying the viewer contains 8 slides in varying degrees of condition. Please use the zoom function to view the slides and their conditions in the second photo. There are some slides missing. The slides that are present are 2 ⅞" in length and ⅜" wide. There are 4 slides of Victoriana, 2 slides of US Presidents and 2 slides depicting biblical scenes.

The viewer is circa late 1800s, early 1900s and has "PAT APPL’D FOR" on a side, as seen in the last photo.

A glass slide is pushed through an opening (as seen in the first photo), and the mirror is manipulated to reflect light, which illuminates the slide. The light can just be daylight and doesn't need to be a specific source. I tried to show an illuminated slide frame in the third photo by photographing through the eyepiece.

The other side of the mirror is non- reflective. The eyepiece is pulled up or pushed down gently (and can be removed, as seen in the fifth photo) to focus.
