Thank you to http://www.internetantiquegazette.com/lighting/1166_bennington_rockingham_pottery/.
This bowl MAY have been produced by Bennington potteries in Bennington, Vermont. These potteries were the first to copy the English Rockingham process. If a spatterware piece is not from Bennington, it should simply be identified as American Rockingham and not Bennington. USA 196 is not definitively a Bennington mark, and this bowl may've been produced by another pottery company.
While I've seen these pieces given antique status, since I have no provenance and no certainty as to the maker's mark, I am listing it simply as vintage.
The bowl does exhibit crazing, and there is a mark shown in the last photo. I do not believe this to be a chip as it does have glaze within the indentation. This mark measures a tad over 1/8".
Height is 5". Depth is 1.5". Base is 3".
