This clothes or shoe brush is made of solid "natural ebony" and "pure bristle" and is marked as such. It has a sterling Gothic "M" monogram and measures 5" in length. The wood is ¾" at its thickest.
Please note the wood has not been polished but the monogram has. Also note a small area of concern in the sixth photo.
I'm dating this piece as being from the early 1900s. It could be a bit older, but I do not believe it's from a later era.
