This French faience lion salt cellar is circa early 19th century and measures 3" in height. The base is 3 ¾" x 2 ⅜", and the cellars each measure 1 ¼" across.
Please note the areas of wear, particularly the lion's nose in the second photo and the edges and bases of the cellars as seen in more than one photo. This piece has wear commensurate with a ceramic of this age that has been used. Do let me know if you'd like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
This piece was purchased from an antiques dealer in New Hampshire.
