This photographic postcard by A.E. Petrauskaité of Waterbury, Connecticut is probably circa turn of the century, perhaps a bit earlier or later.
It is 5.5" x 3.5" and exhibits silvering or deterioration of the silver halides used in what is known as a gelatin silver print. See the shiny surfaces in the second photo above. This is a naturally occurring process in old photographs where gelatin silver was used.
Please note the areas of wear, particularly to the back of the postcard, and do let me know if you'd like more photographs as I'll be happy to oblige.
