Coats and Clark's began as two separate companies in the 1800s and did not merge until 1952 so I'm dating this box as being pre 1950s, specifically circa 1940s, but it could be earlier.
Measurements are 9 7/8" x 4 3/4" at its widest. Depth is 2". The box is a wood construction with finger joints. The black design on the uppermost portion looks to be a decal. O.N.T. stands for "Our New Thread."
