This traveling inkwell compendium is circa 19th century, probably Victorian era, late 1800s. It consists of a leather clad case with inkwell and iridescent glass pot, a pen wipe, a stamp holder, and a roller blotter. The compartment and its accoutrements are in an unknown metal that has ornate, etched ornamentation. Dimensions of the case are 3" across and 1.5" in height.
The case is imprinted with "Andeken an Dresden," which means "Souvenir of Dresden."
Condition issues: There is ink near the hinged edge of the inkwell as seen in the sixth photo. I've not tried to remove this but will leave it up to the discretion of the new owner. Also, there is considerable wear of the leather covering the case that I've tried to show in the photographs. Do let me know if you'd like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
All clasps (the lid, the inkwell, the stamp holder) are in working order.
Your traveling inkwell compendium will be sent via Priority Mail and fully ensured.

Great service. Fast delivery. Careful packaging (and a note to tell you how to unpack). No extra frivolous rubbish in the order (thank goodness)! It’s an incredible item absolutely as described. Thanks so much 🙏🏻😊👍🏻
