This black poodle has jointed front and back paws and a velvet covered tail, torso, ears, and neck. The legs and face/head may be mohair, but I'm not certain. A label bearing "Made in France" is on the underside of this dog, who also has blue plastic eyes, a red felt tongue, a black plastic nose, and a red ribbon in its topknot.
The poodle measures approximately 9.5" in height and 12" when the front and back legs are stretched out entirely. I believe she's circa 1950s.
Please note the two areas on the front paws where white string is visible. I believe this is what was used to attach the legs, which are loosely jointed. Because of the looseness of the joints, the dog is difficult to pose standing. One is able to do this but with care and proper positioning. A back leg also has white string visible. (Please see photos four, five and six.) Also, the fur appears sparse in some areas. (Please see the first, seventh, eighth, and ninth photos.) Please do let me know if you'd like more photos as I'll be more than happy to oblige.
