These French faux tortoiseshell barrettes have "Made in France" on the inside of the barrettes, as seen in the second through fifth photos.
The barrettes, of indeterminate age, are vintage, based on the type of clip used. The plastic has no odor so it is not celluloid or Bakelite; therefore, it is newer.
Measurements are 1 1/4" x 1/2" (at its narrowest-- in the center of the barrette). The plastic does have light surface wear when examined with a loupe, but this is not noticeable to the unaided eye.
