Essex Crystal Horse Watch Fob

I'm estimating this fob as being circa 1920s. It is unmarked and of unknown metal. The chain has smooth links interspersed with patterned links and ends in an octagonal pendant lined with red material and adorned with an Essex crystal of a horse. Essex crystal was carved from the back and then painted.

The piece measures 14 1/2" end to end (as seen in the last photo). The chain measures 13 1/4", and the octagonal pendant is 1 1/8" x 1 1/8". The fob chain could be removed and the pendant strung on a different chain.
