This antique plate marked "Germany 142" on the back has a transfer print of elephants roller skating and "Jumbo Rinking." Rollerskating in the 1800s was referred to as "rinking," particularly in Europe, and the first roller skates had wooden wheels. Jumbo was also an actual circus elephant in the mid to late 1800s.
The dish measures 5 1/4" across and has a faint raised border design. There are no cracks or crazing, but there is a chip on the back of the plate that measures 1/2". Also, the print does have wear. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you'd like more photographs as I'll be happy to oblige.
