This cat pincushion of indeterminate age has 11 pearl (faux) topped hat pins as well as 6 other smaller pins. I believe the pearl topped hat pins are Victorian era but the pincushion appears to be newer to me. I cannot be certain, though.
The pincushion is hand-sewn from felt with embellishments of buttons for eyes, a ribbon bow, felt ears, and tail of pink felt. There is thread defining the whiskers, nose, and eyelashes.
Measurements are 4 3/4" from the tip of an ear to the base and 2 3/4" at the widest part of the cat's body. The back does have wear in the way of small holes as evidenced by photos 2 and 10.
