Screw backs were invented in 1894 and reached popularity around the early 1900s. Women continued to wear them through the 1940s-1950s although the earring clip was patented in 1934. I'm estimating these earrings are circa 1940s. They are marked sterling and "hand made" but have no maker's mark.
The earrings measure 3/4" and are shiny silver with darker, contrasting areas on the petals from the textures used in their creation. Do let me know if you would like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
