This antique volume of Buffon's Quadrupeds is numbered six and was printed in Paris in 1835. There are numerous engravings throughout. I believe all are present although I cannot be certain since there is no list of illustrations.
The book is in fair condition. The boards (covers) have some bowing with rippling, wear and chipping to what appears to be a pastedown paper cover. There is also shelf wear. One page, as seen in the last photo, has a missing torn piece. There is also considerable discoloration and foxing throughout the book as well as what might be damp staining and rippling and some dog-earing of the pages. The binding, however, remains tight. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you would like more photos as I will be happy to oblige.
